A suspected sex criminal who forced a lockdown at six Clay County schools last Friday continues to maintain he is innocent.
Derek Glasser was scheduled to have a preliminary hearing on sexual abuse charges this morning.
That was pushed back a few weeks because a key state police witness was involved in an emergency.
Glasser had registered a 5-year-old girl at Clay Elementary, but suspicions of neglect had surfaced.
A police investigation ended with sex crime charges and fears he would try to remove the child who has a Mexican birth certificate from school.
Glasser denied wrongdoing Thursday.
Police are still trying to determine if Glasser is related to the child or if she was kidnapped before the two began living in an old school bus or a shack at a religious cult compound in Clay County.
