The Wood County school board has upheld a teacher's suspension for putting a box labeled "bad kid fort" around a special-needs student.
Media outlets report that Schools Superintendent Pat Law identified the teacher on Wednesday as Amanda Terrell.
Administrators suspended Terrell without pay from Jan. 10 to Jan. 16. Board of Education members upheld the suspension on Tuesday.
Terrell said she's been advised not to comment.
Beth Dean and Jeff Richards have said a teacher at Parkersburg High School placed the cardboard box around their 15-year-old son's seat because of his behavior in the classroom. The teen has Asperger's syndrome.
