A man has been arrested after a Wyoming County woman was found dead.
John New, 20, of Brenton is expected to be charged with murder Wednesday. Eyewitness News has learned that 60-year-old Elaine Birchfield apparently walked in on a robbery at her home Tuesday, when things took a deadly turn. Deputies have not released additional details of the incident.
Deputies said New stole her truck and drove to Mingo County after the crime. That is where they found him and made the arrest. Keep checking wchstv.com for updates.
