If you are looking for a taste of something different, then you won't want to miss your chance to try some unusual eats while supporting the community.
Dunbar's annual Critter Dinner is scheduled for noon Feb. 16 at the Dunbar Armory on 26th Street and Fairlawn Avenue. Participants are encouraged to park at Shawnee Park on Route 25 and use provided shuttle buses that will take them to the armory.
The dinner is an annual fundraiser for the food pantry. Dunbar City Council members, county and state political figures and volunteers will serve the meal to the brave and curious diners.
If you want to attend the dinner, but are not sure about the wild game, more traditional meats will be offered including ham and chicken.
Admission to the dinner is five cans of nonperishable food or a cash donation to the Dunbar/Institute Food Pantry.
For more information, call the Dunbar Recreation Center at 304-766-0223.
