A robbery was reported at the Riverside Lunch Cafe in Clendenin around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
A woman working at the restaurant opened the door to find a man in a mask demanding money.
The restaurant and video lottery parlor's doors were locked, and when the employee opened the door to find the robber, she fled. The suspect then went into the cafe and robbed the business. The worker called 911 after she ran from the area.
Kessel Donahue, manager of the restaurant, says something needs to be done to keep crimes like this from happening.
"The Clendenin cops are doing the best they really can,” Donahue said. “They're looking and they're out searching, but there's got to be a stop put to it. It’s like my boss - this is his business, and it's tearing him down."
Dispatchers say a masked person walked into the Riverside Lunch Restaurant along Elk River Road in Clendenin demanding cash.
They say the suspect didn't show a weapon and it isn't known how much cash was taken.
