With more winter weather on the way and existing icy roads, many school systems Monday were closed or had students reporting on a two-hour delay.
School systems closed in West Virginia included Braxton,Clay, Fyette, Nicholas, Webster and Wyoming counties. In Kentucky, counties with closed school systems included Boyd, Elliott, Floyd, Lewis, Martin and Rowan.
In West Virginia, two-hour delays included Boone, Cabell, Calhoun, Gilmer, Jackson, Kanawha, Lincoln, Logan, Mason, Putnam, Wirt and Wood counties. In Ohio, areas with two-hour delays included Ironton, Marietta and Portsmouth city schools.
