A man who served his country and who died while earning his degree at Marshall University was awarded his diploma posthumously.
U.S. Marine Corps veteran Owen M. Moul, 34, of Barboursville died at his home of natural causes Nov 23, 2012. On Friday, Marshall University presented Moul's children with the degree that their father was pursuing. Sydney, 14, Sierra, 8, Owen Jr., 7, and Zane, 1 accepted their father's bachelor of arts degree.
Chris White, who is an associate professor and friend of the family, presented the children with their father's degree.
