Huntington police arrested a man they said shipped marijuana to his residence hall room.
Brent T. Gates, 21, of Huntington was arrested Thursday. Huntington police said they intercepted a package that was to be shipped to the suspect at a room in Holderby Hall at Marshall University, according to a criminal complaint filed in Cabell Magistrate Court. The package had one pound of marijuana inside, police said. Police said the package was shipped and officers searched the residence hall room where eight Adderrall pills were found.
Gates was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession with the intent to deliver. Gates was being held at the Western Regional Jail on a $103,000 bond.
