Kanawha County Schools Superintendent Ron Duerring received a positive review from the county’s Board of Education in his required annual evaluation.
"In our opinion, Dr. Duerring has met or exceeded the requirements as stated by the West Virginia Department of Education,” the board said in a statement. “When you look at the success of our school system, it's the fact that we do have a board and administration that works together that are on the same page about taking care of kids."
Duerring's contract is up June 30, but the board is looking into extending it.
