West Virginia's trapping seasons are winding down.
The Division of Natural Resources said the trapping season for fisher ends Thursday.
The last day for trapping red and gray fox, bobcat, coyote, otter, mink, muskrat and raccoon is Feb. 28.
The beaver trapping season ends March 31. But during the month of March, traps for beaver can only be set in water.
Traps cannot be set or left after noon on each season's last day.
Trappers and hunters must check beaver, bobcat, otter and fisher pelts at an official game checking station within 30 days of each season's closure.
Furs that are shipped out of state must have a fur shipping tag.
