Charleston police arrest a woman for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend in the back with a large kitchen knife.
Nynita Carter, 26, is charged with malicous wounding afte police say she stabbed Jeffrey Fields during an argument over her drinking.
It happened at 904 Richard Street around 8:00 p.m.
Carter's arraignment had to be stopped when she got angry while signing court documents.
She was taken to the South Central Regional Jail.
Police are on the scene of a stabbing on Charleston's East End.
It happened in the 900 block of Richard Street around 8 p.m. Tuesday.
According to police, Nynita Carter stabbed a man in the back with a 12" steak knife. Carter has been taken into custody and will be charged with malicious wounding. The victim is expected to be okay.
