The support continues to pour in for a young woman who has been very sick.
Monday night, Buffalo Wild Wings at Southridge helped cheer on the Mountaineers and 17-year-old Makayla Clark
The restaurant hosted a watch party as West Virginia University played Kansas, but fans are also helping Makayla and her family.
A portion of food sales will go to help offset the cost of many of the expenses Makayla's family has faced in her life-long battle with several ailments, and the recent passing of her father.
Makayla was actually feeling good enough to make it out to the event herself, which, of course, is a blessing in itself.
There is good news about a Charleston teen who has captured so many hearts, and there is an opportunity for folks who want to help her.
Makayla Clark is back home, after going through another round of chemotherapy. She has been at Cincinnati Children's Hospital for months. The Capital High School student and former cheerleader, who was born with Downs Syndrome, has had a series of health problems. The community has been trying to help and has been following her story through her "Cheering for Makayla" Facebook page.
On Monday, you can "Cheer for Makayla" as you cheer on the Mountaineers at Buffalo Wild Wings in Southridge. A portion of the proceeds from the food sales during the WVU-Kansas basketball game will go to help off-set Makayla's medical costs.
