Two men were arrested after Kanawha County deputies pulled their vehicle over for an illegal traffic stop and found drugs and a gun.
Bryant Carr, 33, of Fayetteville, West Virgina and Antwain Bannerman, 28, of Winchester, Ohio, were arrested after deputies stopped their Ford Crown Victoria in between the Montrose and Oakwood Road exits along I-64 eastbound.
When Deputy JK Shank searched the vehicle, he discovered oxycodone tablets and a semi automatic handgun fully loaded inside the trunk. A cell phone was also recovered from the vehicle, revealing several texts in reference to picking up the "stuff" to bring back to West Virginia, deputies said.
Both men were charged with possession with intent to deliver. They were taken to the South Central Regional.
