Two traffic stops within hours of each other in Scioto County, Ohio, resulted in the seizure of thousands of prescription pills and four arrests.
Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol stopped a car for a speeding violation about 2 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 23, according to a news release from the State Patrol. Troopers said they searched the car to find marijuana, cocaine, heroin and 6,500 prescription pills. Troopers estimate the value of the pills at about $175,000.
Lenward W. Pulliam, 30, and Harold W. Chapple, 25, both of Detroit, Mich., were charged with possession of a schedule II substance, possession of cocaine and possession of heroin.
At about 8 p.m. Tuesday, troopers stopped a car and said they discovered two guns, cocaine and marijuana. Troopers said the value of the drugs are worth about $10,000. Leon Brihm 22, and Jeffrey E. Howard, 24, both of Columbus, were charged with drug abuse and weapons under disability.
All four suspects were being held at the Scioto County Jail.
