Some children in Charleston received a very important lesson on Monday about health.
The YMCA of Kanawha Valley hosted "Summer in January" for children attending day care.
Children learned the importance of eating fruits and vegetables and staying physically active throughout the year.
Instructors said the earlier you introduce healthy food choices and exercise to children, the more likely they are to live a healthy lifestyle throughout adulthood.
