A Lesage home burns to the ground Friday afternoon.
The house on Jim Mounts Road, off Union Ridge Road, was fully involved when fire crews got on scene.
The family who lives there was not home when the fire happened. They tell Eyewitness News their pets did escape.
Firefighters said they are not sure what caused the fire right now.

Emergency dispatchers said that a fully-involved house fire has been reported in Cabell County.
The fire was reported about 3:20 p.m. Friday on Union Ridge Road in Lesage.
Eyewitness News has a crew headed to the scene and will update this story as more information becomes available.
