West Virginia State Police have arrested two people in connection with methamphetamine that was found in a home where two infants were living.

Jodie Lee Wisen and William Clayton Booth have been charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine.

Troopers initially arrested the pair on unrelated charges, and they were charged in connection with the meth case once they were taken to magistrate court.

Kanawha County deputies discovered methamphetamine at the couple's home in Belle Friday, after DHHR workers responded to the home to investigate a report of child neglect.

Two infants have been removed from the home.

Wisen and Booth are expected to have preliminary hearings next week.

Two people were being sought on drug charges after Kanawha County deputies said they found methamphetamine at a home in Belle where two infants were living.

Jodie Lynn Wisen, 23, of Belle, the mother of the infants, and William Clayton Booth 31, of Cabin Creek are being sought on warrants for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to assist Department of Health and Human Resource workers in the inspection of a home at 3206 East DuPont Ave., lot six, in Belle. DHHR had received a tip that two infant children were living in the home without proper food, care and clothing, the release said.

When deputies arrived, they spoke with the grandmother at the door who appeared to be under the influence of some unknown substance, the release said. Deputies said the living conditions inside were deplorable, and they found several coffee filters with finished methamphetamine product. All weighed about 12 grams.

The release said evidence was seized by deputies and the children were taken by DHHR, due to the living conditions and condition of their current caretaker. The ages of the infants are not available at this time.

Wisen is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. Her hair color was unavailable. Booth is 6 feet tall, weighs about 175 pounds and has brown hair.
