An Ohio man was sentenced for intentionally attempting to run over a police officer with his car.
John Mace, 31, of Nelsonville was sentenced to four years in prison Wednesday, according to a news release from Athens County Prosecutor Keller Blackburn. In June 2012, Mace tried to hit a police officer with his car and then fled, the release said. At the pre-trial hearing, Mace pleaded guilty to felonious assault.
The case was investigated by the Nelsonville Police Department.
