The West Virginia Republican Party has named Ward Wyatt as executive director.
Wyatt managed Kent Leonhardt's campaign for state agriculture commissioner. He previously served as an aide to two Texas legislators, Rep. Stefani Carter and Rep. Harvey Hilderbran.
West Virginia GOP Chairman Conrad Lucas announced Wyatt's appointment late Tuesday night.
