Deputies said they are getting conflicting information in their probe of an early morning shooting that occurred near the Kanawha-Putnam county line.
Robert Hill Jr., 35, brought himself to Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston about 5 a.m. Monday. He reported he had been shot during a robbery attempt on West Virginia 817 near the Coca Cola plant. He underwent surgery earlier Monday, and he has been questioned by deputies.
The shooting apparently happened in Kanawha County.
