The body of a woman who was found dead inside her St. Albans area home has been sent to the state medical examiner's office for an autopsy, but investigators said they believe the woman died of natural causes. The person who found the woman's body thought it appeared she had a phone cord wrapped around her neck, but apparently she had just fallen on the cord. The death occurred at the Indian Head subdivision off Coal River Road. The woman's name has not been released. Investigators believe a woman who was found dead inside her St. Albans home Thursday morning died of natural causes. Eyewitness News has learned the victim was found lying on the floor of her Indian Head subdivision home. Her body has been sent to the state Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy, and her name has not been released. Keep checking wchstv.com for updates. INVESTIGATORS NOW BELIEVE A WOMAN WHO WAS FOUND DEAD INSIDE HER ST. ALBANS HOME THIS MORNING DIED OF NATURAL CAUSES. THE PERSON WHO FOUND THE WOMAN'S BODY THOUGHT IT APPEARED SHE HAD A PHONE CORD WRAPPED AROUND HER NECK, BUT APPARENTLY SHE HAD JUST FALLEN ON THE CORD. THE VICTIM WAS FOUND LYING ON THE FLOOR OF HER HOME LOCATED IN THE INDIAN HEAD SUBDIVISION. HER BODY HAS BEEN SENT TO THE STATE MEDICAL EXAMINER'S OFFICE FOR AN AUTOPSY. HER NAME HAS NOT BEEN RELEASED. Law enforcement officers were at the scene Thursday morning of a possible homicide in the Indian Head subdivision between Tornado and St. Albans. Deputies from the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office and West Virginia State Police were at the scene, but they had not released further information. The Indian Head subdivision, located off Coal River Road, has had a series of fires recently that are believed to be electrical in nature, but the cause of those blazes has been under investigation.
