A Mount Hope man was arrested on a burglary charge after Fayette County sheriff's deputies said they found him in a residence and used a K-9 unit dog to apprehend him.
Kenneth Jesse James, 52, was arrested about 8 p.m. Tuesday at a residence on Kilsythe Road, according to a news release from the Fayette County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies said 911 received a call that a suspicious male was on the front porch of the residence, and the homeowner was out of town. When deputies arrived, they said they found that someone had entered the home through a window. They said the contacted the intruder inside and used a dog to detain him.
James was transported to the Southern Regional Jail to await arraignment.
The incident remains under investigation by Deputy S.K. Neal.
