A judge lays down the hammer on a Dunbar man who had thousands of images and videos on his computer depicting what's being described as "violent" child pornography.
The discharged Navy veteran did apologize to the court today and says he's been getting help from "sexual addicts anonymous", but the judge still laid out a stiff sentence; 16 years in prison.
The defense tried to get probation but the judge says from what he's seen, Ryan Montgomery has a fetish for bondage, rape and torture, and probation is not an alternative. Montgomery pleaded guilty last year to 8 counts of possession of child pornography. The girls in the images and videos are between 7 and 13 years old.
Montgomery was busted last year after taking his computer to be repaired . That's when a technician found the images and called police.
