Kentucky State Police are searching for a suspect they said was involved in a shooting in Pike County.
Troopers are searching for Mickey Donovan Holbrooks, 27, of Pikeville. Holbrooks is facing first- degree assault charges, according to a news release from the State Police.
Troopers said a man was shot in the stomach in Virgie about 5:30 a.m. Saturday following an argument. The suspect fled.

The Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting in Pike County after the victim said he was shot in the stomach during an argument.
Troopers responded to a shooting in Virgie on Saturday at 5:30 a.m. and found a man bleeding from his stomach from an apparent gunshot wound, a news release from the Kentucky State Police said.
Troopers believe there was an argument between the victim and another man. During the argument, the man shot the victim in the stomach and fled, the release said. The victim was taken to Pikeville Medical Center for treatment.
Troopers have an arrest warrant for the suspect on an assault charge, but his information won't be released until an arrest has been made.
