A Kanawha County man pleaded guilty Monday in Kanawha Circuit Court to first-degree sexual abuse for molesting a girl under 12 years of age.
Jeremy Lane, 31, faces one to five years when he is sentenced March 1. He must register as a sex offender. Psychiatric tests were ordered to determine his chance of being a repeat offender.
In the court proceedings Monday before Judge James Stucky, sign language was used because Lane is hearing impaired.
The crime happened between 2009 and 2011 in the Sissonville area and involved a 5-year-old child.
