A mental health patient had to pulled out of the Kanawha River after jumping off of the South Side Bridge Friday morning.
Police and paramedics found the 39-year-old man clinging to nearby rocks.
Eyewitness News has learned the man walked away from the Prestera Center, where he was being treated, about 9 a.m. Friday. The man undressed before jumping off the bridge, then swam to the southern bank of the river.
