The United Food Operation is helping make sure people in our area have food on their table.
On Friday morning, the organization kicked off its 31st annual food drive campaign at the Mountain Mission Food Pantry in Charleston.
The group provides for 13 food pantries in Kanawha and Putnam counties.
Organizers said donations were plentiful around the holiday season, but they are needed more now than ever. This year’s food distribution runs now through March 23. For more information on how you can help, visit www.unitedfoodoperation.org.
