Boyd County sheriff's deputies said an informant made an undercover drug buy that led to the discovery of additional drugs.
Sonja Thompson, 29, of Ashland was arrested Thursday. Deputies said a confidential informant made a drug buy of crack cocaine from the suspect at her home in the 2800 block of Pleasant Avenue, according to a news release from the sheriff's department. Deputies said after searching the home, they found more crack cocaine, money and drug paraphernalia.
Thompson was charged with trafficking cocaine and was being held at the Boyd County Detention Center.
