The Huntington Police Department welcomed four new probationary officers during a swearing in ceremony.
Mayor Steve Williams swore in the officers at Huntington City Council Chambers at a 2 p.m. ceremony Friday. The new officers are Brennan Simpkins of Huntington, Nicholas Wyrick of Huntington, Shane Wilburn of Salt Rock and Adam Ankrom of Huntington.
The officers will attend 16 weeks of basic training at the West Virginia State Police Academy before returning to the Huntington Police Department.
