The Calhoun County Emergency Medical Services is down to just one working ambulance.
Calhoun County has been plagued with ambulance maintenance problems, the Hur Herald, the county's online newspaper reported. Most of the emergency vehicles have high mileage and expensive repair costs.
To help maintain service, the county is borrowing an ambulance from the Minnie Hamilton Health System.
The county commission is also looking into contracting out county ambulance services.
