Clean out your closets, help those in need and get a break on your taxes -- all before the new year begins.
Goodwill Industries of the Kanawha Valley is encouraging residents to give before the end of 2012. This year Goodwill Industries of the Kanawha Valley is offering an end-of-the-year incentive.
Those who make a donation to Goodwill in December will receive a donation receipt that can be brought to a Goodwill retail store for a 20 percent off a total purchase.
Area Goodwill donation centers participating are located in Beckley, Charleston, Elkview, Kanawha City, Madison, Oak Hill, Ripley, Summersville, Teays Valley and Vienna. Those centers will accept donations and issue receipts now through Monday.
Retail stores will be open for shopping -- during regular business hours -- on New Year's Eve.
