Ski resorts in West Virginia are getting a lift from the weather so far.
On Saturday, Snowshoe Mountain in Pocahontas County received a welcome blast of winter weather. The resort received a foot of snow and now has 15 inches for skiers and snowboarders to enjoy. The resort said it plans to open new terrain over the next few days.
In Raleigh County, Winterplace ski resort is now open. The resort in Ghent opened many of its slopes Saturday. The snow tubing park, however, hasn’t opened yet. The resort is still working to open that part.
