It's official! The new Kanawha County magistrates have been sworn into office for their new four year terms.
Most of the magistrates sworn in Friday were re-elected.
Incumbent Paris Workman lost in the General Election and incumbent Kristen Vieweg did not seek re-election.
The eight incumbents will be joined with two newly elected magistrates, Democrat Brent Hall and Republican Michael Sisson.
"It's been a tough road, but I'm going to work as hard for the citizens of Kanawha County as I did to get here," says Brent Hall. "I'm very excited to get started."
Mike Sisson says, "It feels great. I appreciate that the citizens of Kanawha County found it to give us the opportunity to serve them."
