GREENUP FATAL ACCIDENT Police Release Name Of Victim In Fatal Greenup Accident

Kentucky State Police have released the name in a fatal accident that happened in Greenup County, Kentucky, on Wednesday.
Nathaniel Nickell, 18, of Ashland, died in the accident. Police said the victim failed to stop at an intersection and his car was hit by an oncoming vehicle, according to a news release from the State Police. The impact caused both cars to be sent off the roadway. Two women who were in the other vehicle were transported to Cabell Huntington Hospital where they were listed in fair condition. Nickell was transported to Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital where he later died.
Police said no one in both vehicles was wearing a seat belt. Several agencies responded including the Greenup County Sheriff's Department, Little Sandy Fire Department, Greenup County EMS, KDMC Health Net, and the Greenup County Coroner's Office.
Kentucky State Police are investigating an accident that killed one person and injured two others in Greenup County, Kentucky.
Police said the accident happened about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday off the Industrial Parkway on Sandsuck Road. Multiple cars were involved. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
