Charlie Jewell of Ripley was so concerned about talk of an assault rifle ban he bought one on Tuesday. President Barack Obama is "actively supportive" of efforts to reinstate a ban.
But it was California Senator Dianne Feinstein's plans to introduce legislation to reinstate the ban early next year that pushed him to make the purchase along with the news that West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin, a conservative Democrat and avid hunter now wants a national discussion on preventing gun violence.
