Police arrested a homeowner after they said they found a meth lab in a house in Scioto County, Ohio.
Cynthia Fletcher Rowe, 31, of Portsmouth was arrested on Monday. Portsmouth Police responded to a home in the 1600 block of Eighth Street and discovered an active "one pot" meth lab in the basement, according to a news release from Portsmouth Police Chief Robert Ware. The Portsmouth Fire Department and Southern Ohio Drug Task Force detectives had to dismantle the meth lab, the release said.
Rowe was charged with the illegal manufacture of drugs. Rowe also had an outstanding warrant for her arrest for failing to appear in the Portsmouth Municipal Court on charges of passing bad checks.
The residence is now considered condemned by the Scioto County Health Department.
