An Ohio University utility worker accused of making threatening comments about taking a shotgun to school will be back in court next month to face misdemeanor charges.
The southeast Ohio school said police arrested Stacy Gorham, 53, on Friday and seized eight firearms from his Athens home, including an AK-47 assault rifle. He was charged with inducing panic and having criminal tools.
Police said Gorham had lost keys issued for his work and had told a co-worker he would bring in his shotgun if the university tried to fire him.
Gorham pleaded not guilty in municipal court Monday and was ordered to stay away from campus. He declined to comment by phone Tuesday.
