Family members have identified the victim in a fatal fire in St. Albans.
Geraldine "Jerry" Parsons, 82, died in the blaze Friday afternoon, family members said. The fire broke out at 431 Second. Ave. N. about 1:15 p.m., emergency officials said.
Attempts to revive a victim in a fire at a residence in St. Albans were unsuccessful, a law enforcement official said.
The elderly woman died as a result of injuries she received Friday afternoon in a blaze at 431 Second Ave. N., Capt. B.C. Robbins of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office said. Emergency officials initially reported the victim was deceased, but attempted to revive her after feeling a faint pulse. The woman, however, has died, Robbins said.
Law enforcement officials say medics felt a faint pulse and are attempting to revive a victim in a St. Albans fire who initially was reported deceased.

A person has died in a fire at a residence in St. Albans, an emergency dispatcher said.
The blaze broke out about 1:15 p.m. Friday at 431 Second Ave. N. off Winfield Road, the dispatcher said. The person who died in the blaze was trapped in the structure, the dispatcher said.
The dispatcher said emergency crews were still at the scene and the fire was still active. The residence is on the west side of St. Albans.
The West Side Volunteer Fire Department, the Lakewood Volunteer Fire Department and the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department responded. The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office and emergency services personnel also were at the scene.
