A Charleston woman was arrested after police said she allegedly stole an ambulance and went for a ride.
Elizabeth Lacy, 47, of Charleston is charged with grand larceny, driving under the influence and operating a vehicle with Interlock. Officers said she also had a restricted license.
Charleston police said medics were responding to a 911 call when Lacy asked them for a ride. Police said she allegedly waited until they went inside and took off in the ambulance.
The vehicle was found at Lacy's home in the 4500 block of Venable Avenue in Kanawha City, police said.
Police said Lacy reportedly told medics they should not have left the keys in the vehicle if they did not want it taken.
