The Division of Natural Resources said hunters should note an error in the 2013 West Virginia wildlife calendar.
The calendar mistakenly lists the start of the 2013 deer gun season for bucks as Nov. 18. Wildlife Resources section chief Curtis Taylor said it actually begins on Nov. 25, which is the Monday before Thanksgiving.
Taylor said the calendar was sent to a printer in August and dates for the opening of various hunting seasons hadn't been approved yet. The calendar typically lists dates as "due to open" and that hunters should check current regulations for accurate season dates.
