There is no better feeling than when you give from the heart.
That is exactly what Eyewitness News is asking area residents, businesses and organizations to do as we make the final push this week to collect toys for the “Tower of Toys.” Many of you have responded and the growing mountain of bicycles, dolls and assortment of other toys at the station shows just how much people truly care.
But there is much more work to do before the toy drive wraps up on Friday. More than 400 children have signed up for toys, and we want to make sure Union Mission has plenty of donations so no children are left out this Christmas.
Participating is simple. Just drop off a new unwrapped toy at the station’s studio in Charleston, 1301 Piedmont Road, or at the station's studio in Huntington, 1002 Fourth Ave. Donations also can be made at the Building and Remodeling Warehouse. Other partners include Off Broadway Shoes and the Kanawha Valley Corvette Club.
So please come help us build a huge “Tower of Toys” that will put smiles on the faces of lots of really deserving kids this Christmas.
