A proposed new road project at Chief Logan State Park isn’t sitting well with some community members in Logan County.
The state Division of Highways want to build a road through Chief Logan State Park that would connect the lodge to the park’s original section.
But residents in the area aren’t happy. They said it would increase traffic through the park and make it less safe for walkers and bicyclists.
The planned roadway would give lodge guests easier access to the original 3,000-acre park.
The project could cost about $10 million.
