Sheriff's deputies said a man under the influence of drugs was charged after he crashed his car into a bus full of children.
Gregory Wilburn, 42, of Ashland was arrested on Thursday. A school bus had stopped to allow students to get off the bus at 2:50 p.m. in the 7000 block of Johnson's Fork, just outside of Catlesttsburg, when the suspect's car crashed into the bus, Boyd County Sheriff Terry Keelin said. The suspect allegedly admitted to deputies that he had taken pills before the accident.
Wilburn was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs. Wilburn also had an outstanding warrant from Powell County, Ky.
There were 15 students on the bus, but no one was injured.
