An Ohio man was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty to raping three children under the age of 13.
Don Copley, 69, of Proctorville pleaded guilty to 15 counts of first-degree rape of three girls. The crimes happened between 1996 and 2004. Jury selection had begun for his trial in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court before Copley announced his plea.
Copley was sentenced to 60 years in prison, Lawrence County Prosecutor Brigham Anderson said.
Don Copley's wife, Beverly Copley, will face a trial after she was indicted on first-degree complicity to rape charges. A trial date for her has not been set.
