Braving the lines for bargains! Shoppers gathered outside the shops at Southridge Friday morning.
Hundreds of shoppers waited outside the doors of Cabela's, waiting for them to open at 5 a.m. and the line wrapped around the store.
Cabela's was one of the few stores that opening on Friday. Eyewitness News spoke with some shoppers who had waited in line since 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon to be the first in line.
Shoppers said they are devoted to getting their loved ones the Christmas gifts they want and say the time in line is well worth the wait.
"Half of the people here I think are from maybe two or three miles from where I live and I didn't even know it, so I met all of them," said shopper David Fisher. "And it hasn't been too bad. It got cold in the last two hours."
"Grandchildren are the only thing that would drag me out. To buy gifts for them and things that they want," said shopper Darla Thompson.
It took 20 minutes for all of the shoppers to make it through the doors once Cabela's opened. The first 600 customers received a gift card to use for their Black Friday purchase.
