More than 500 delegates are expected to attend the 2014 Travel South Showcase that will be hosted in Charleston in February.
Travel South Showcase is an invitation-only event for southern tourism organizations to connect with qualified tour operators focused on developing southern tours, according to a news release from Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin’s Office.
As the host, Charleston will have the opportunity to highlight its tourism opportunities. The showcase is scheduled Feb. 23-26.
“West Virginia’s world-class adventure and leisure attractions resonate with all those who have experienced the beauty and wonder of our hills, unique cities and shops,” Tomblin said. “As hosts, we enjoy the benefit of showing tourism industry leaders our vast recreational activities available for all to enjoy, and I’m confident our hospitality will lead to further tourism investments.”
