Police have issued an arrest warrant for the man they say murdered another man in Charleston last month. Richard Bernard Hilliard, 24, of Kanawha County is being sought in connection with the shooting that occurred Oct. 11 in the area of Milton and Richards streets, right behind the Eyewitness News studios in Charleston. That is where David Juaboi Booker, 26, of Charleston was found shot to death. Police said Booker was no stranger to crime and had been charged in the death of two different men when he was just a teenager. Now police have issued a first-degree murder arrest warrant for Hilliard and said he also had a criminal past including fleeing and domestic assault. Hilliard is described as 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Investigators believe the two men knew each other and they believe Hilliard is still in the area and may be driving a white Honda. They also say more than one suspect may have been involved in the death. If you have any information on Hilliard’s whereabouts, call the Charleston Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division at 304-348-6480. Charleston , Kanawha County , West Virginia A body was discovered in the capital city early Thursday morning, and now investigators are trying to piece together what led to the violence. Eyewitness News was first on the scene at Milton Street. Police said David Jauboi Booker, 25, of Charleston was found shot and killed. Eyewitness News was told two men called 911 about 1:15 a.m. Thursday to report they found a black man dead in the alley. At first, police were treating the scene as a vehicular homicide, but then discovered Booker had been shot. Police said Booker was no stranger to them and had been in trouble for drugs. The two men who called to report finding the body did the right thing and they are not suspects, police said. Police are looking for a white Ford Crown Victoria with front-end damage. No suspects have been named. MORE NEWS FROM EYEWITNESS NEWS
