A Charleston woman was arrested after troopers said she reported to jail to do weekend hours and was caught trying to smuggle drugs into the South Central Regional Jail.
Brittany Mullins, 21, of Charleston was charged with possession with intent to deliver and introduction of contraband into a corrections facility.
State Police said Mullins showed up at the jail to Friday for weekend hours that had been court ordered from a previous offense. Correctional officers told troopers that when she asked to use the restroom, she attempted to grab something from her genital area and flush it down the toilet.
Officers said they then discovered four Seroquel 100 milligram tablets and eight Trazadone 100 milligram tablets.
Mullins remained in the South Central Regional Jail Monday.
