A Charleston man will spend five to 18 years in prison for molesting a young girl almost a decade ago.
Jonathan Butts did not speak at his sex crime sentencing and denied guilt to a probation officer despite his earlier guilty plea.
His lawyer asked for home confinement. The victim said he needed to be locked up.
Butts also must register as a sex offender and serve 50 years of supervised release when he gets out. His brother, Frederick Butts, also was convicted previously for molesting the same girl.
