Parkersburg police need your help to find the man they said robbed a bank in the area Tuesday.
Police said an older white male walked into the Community Bank along Emerson Avenue about 9 a.m. with a hood over his head and dark glasses covering his eyes. The suspect allegedly asked for cash and told workers there he had a gun, though a gun was never seen by bank tellers. The suspect got the cash and took off, according to a news release from police.
Police are also reviewing recent robberies or attempted robberies to determine if the suspect in this robbery was involved in the other incidents.
The suspect is described as about 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 220 to 250 pounds. He appeared to be in his 50s or 60s or maybe older. He was possibly wearing a blue hoodie with a gray liner, a blue coat with gray accents over the hoodie, white shoes and blue jeans.
